Final ‘Mr. Wrangler’ NFT Sells for $2.6K

Wrangler’s latest NFT has been sold to the highest bidder.

After a 48-hour online auction launched on Thursday, the “Mr. Wrangler Legendary” NFT went for 1.947 etherium in cryptocurrency or $2,609.17.

The high-end product was the second and final drop in the “Mr. Wrangler” NFT collection, a virtual and digital offering created by Wrangler and Grammy-winning soul singer Leon Bridges to mark the brand’s 75th anniversary this year and its collaborative apparel collection with Bridges that will be released at the end of the month. The NFTs use proprietary technology by LTD.INC, a platform that creates ultra-rare physical and digital NFT collections for artists, creators and brands.

The “Legendary” offering was a one-of-one exact replica of Wrangler’s custom denim jacket and jeans outfit created for Bridges which he holds exclusively in his private collection. The new owner, whose name was not revealed, will receive the denim suit in real life delivered in a retro futuristic suitcase, with content exclusively created by Bridges embedded in the garment. A metaverse wearable of the physical denim suit will also be included and all exclusive content, provenance and authenticity can be retrieved using LTD.INC’s proprietary scanning app and technology.

This second, singular drop was unveiled during a Fashion Week presentation in Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right music venue on Wednesday where Bridges performed and previewed his capsule with the jeans giant. It follows round one, the “Mr. Wrangler Icon” tier launched in February, which consisted of 75 digitally animated NFTs of a signature dance move choreographed by Bridges as well as access to digital communities, one metaverse wearable and a pass to the Fashion Week event.

As of Sunday, 27 of these 75 NFTs had been sold, mostly for 0.3 etherium or $391.05 each.

“Fashion, technology and music influence us all, and I love the way Wrangler is interconnecting all three on this wild ride,” Bridges said.

His collection with Wrangler comes on the heels of its new one with Gant that was released last week and is one of several the brand has launched to celebrate its 75 years in existence.
